Another crazy couple of days. I went to the charity shop on Friday morning only to get a phone call from the coalman to say that OH had fallen while answering the door to him. Arrived home to find him with blood all over his face, arm and shirt and him the coalman drinking tea! He has a lump on his forehead and a cut too, plus a cut on the bridge of his nose. His arm where the skin is very thin is raw and bleeding. Took me an hour or so to clean him up. I'll have to be careful to avoid infections now. Saturday found him with a sore neck and shoulder from where he fell and he's a bit wobbly as it shook him up quite a bit.
One of our neighbours from down the road is a mountain biking addict and he has had a bad accident on a trip up north (bike costing mega bucks ruined) and the pair of them sat in the sun on the bench at the front of the cottage with a notice saying 'her indoors did this'. They looked a very sorry pair. My butternut squash soup cheered them up.
Lets hope next week is better.

Hope your hubby is feeling better and not too sore from his fall. Good thing he has you to take care of him.

I hesitate to offer any advice because I can't imagine the difficult position you are in with your husband ,so needy and not at his best . I ready hate this situation for both of you. I am so proud of you for continuing to get out of the house to go to the charity shop. Don't forget that you have needs too and they are just as important as anyone elses. I know I fallen down on this journey over and over and over again...but I guess I keep believing that I will succeed, someday...that day may not be today but I will not give up. This may not be the year I have the body I keep imagining, but there's hope as long as I am still here and kicking it could be around that corner. I believe that for you too!!

Hi Flax, gosh I haven't talked to you in so long. I must say, sharonfriz said it all. We have to all hang tight and look at the bigger picture. I almost lost my focus, but am back at it. You will too.
