TOM is here and wearing me out. I went swimming today, but was so tired and out of breath it wasn't a great workout. It's ok though, I still made myself go when I was tired and busy. I decided to see how fast I could swim a length though so I looked at the second clock and did a length in 20 seconds. Not sure if that is fast or not, but it felt fast. It may have been a little less than that. Swimming really is a good workout.

Well, my food intake last night was horrible! Oh, and I knew it would be. We had company and I made Waikiki Chicken which is my family's favorite with fried chicken pieces, and a homemade sweet and sour type sauce over rice, then I made homemade egg rolls and crab rangoon, also both fried. It was all really delicious, but I had a terrible stomach ache after eating all that fried food! You really notice it when you don't normally eat bad stuff like that. My weight is hanging out ok, but I know it will jump right back up if I continue to do those kinds of choices over the weekend. We have a birthday party tomorrow afternoon, so I will need to be conscious of what I am putting in my mouth!!

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Wow that dinner sounds scrumpscious! I'm sure your family loved it! Hey, anything fried is sooo good. Once in a while it's okay. You probably swam most of the calories off anyway, esp if you're doing 20 sec laps! Sounded like your asthma was at bay so that's a good thing. Great job on the swimming. Keep it up! Good luck this weekend. Make some eating plans beforehand. If possible ask the host of the bday party if you can bring something (healthy of course). That way you know there's something you can eat.

Dear Aunt Flo, she really does a number on us! Your food intake wasn't "horrible" - you were just having a splurge day. Perfectly acceptable! Just try to follow it up with some healthier choices and you will be fine. I've been seeing the weight come off at a much slower pace these past few months but I'm perfectly fine with it. I've been able to live life to its fullest, celebrating everything it has to offer. And the weight still comes off eventually. Keep plugging away... you will see the slope heading downward, too!

Waikiki Chicken sounds really good... Very inspirational to make it to the gym even when you are tired and busy. Great job!!
