I googled "caolires burned while skipping" and got this: http://www.changingshape.com/resources/calculators/caloriesburnedcalculator.asp I only managed 2 minutes of moderate skipping and apparently that equals 41 calories burned.

If I enter in 2 minutes of Running - 6/mph it comes up as 39 calories so it's close enough.

You're actually skipping? Cool! I wish it was more socially acceptable for adults to skip.

Sue, I'm doing it in my living room! LOL!

yeah, I don't have room in my garage and I would not do it in my driveway and our basement ceiling is too low so the living room was the only choice - and I had to make room for the baby's exersaucer anyway :)

Lol I am such a dork, I thought you were talking about skipping, as in the type of skip walk, not skipping rope. I bought a rope and tried, and immediately got my feet tangled up, plus my knees SCREAMED at me when I tried. So I guess the rope will just have to lie there until I get a little thinner!
