Ugh, not again. SNAFU at MEPS. He passed the physical and when he finished he found out that he couldn't enlist yet. The waiver that someone applied for (that NO ONE asked for) somehow is still screwing him up from enlisting. So we had to go pick him up from MEPS today. Well, technically we didn't have to but we didn't want him sitting there all day being depressed. MEPS Tampa isn't far from us, maybe 30 minutes so off we went.
We went to 5 guys for comfort food for him. I did good and only had 1 fry. Not even a big fry. I asked for extra, extra bacon and they did NOT disappoint. She put a TON of bacon in the container. She even put extra bacon on son and hubby's burgers. I had to adjust dinner plans since we planned a celebratory dinner at Bahama Breeze and well... So I made something lower in calories (thank you instant pot for cooking frozen chicken breast) to adjust for lunch and grabbed a pickle for myself as a veggie again. I had made peas and I don't eat peas. I think they are icky. I love using a pickle as a veggie in a pinch since I always have them in the fridge or pantry.

🙏It’ll happen. For the Navy (and I suppose all branches of military) the motto is “Hurry Up and Wait”.

I know and thanks. Hubby was Navy, my dad was Army, my grandpa was a jarhead, hubby's dad was Air Force. It just sucks that he has to wait even longer because of a guy put in for a waiver that no one asked him to. We keep getting calls from other branches who say they can take care of it so why can't the Navy?

The different branches have different qualifications and waivers. Each may require different medical, legal, and educational waivers depending on the circumstances. The saying is, "the military has a waiver for everything.... except asthma..."
