rice bugs me - I don't know if the info on the bag is for it cooked or uncooked so I am guessing that it's for cooked.

But I always eat 1 cup minimum. Though that includes some spinach and red pepper as well... but it means I can only really guess.

Or does the 1/4 cup listed mean uncooked but when cooked it would equal a cup at the listed calories???

I need a food scale. That would probably help.

It's so frustrating!

The serving sizes on the nutrition labels are, of course, uncooked. Three ounces of cooked pasta would be like two bites. The rule of thumb I've heard for rice is that it expands three times. So, 1/4 cup dry is 3/4 cup cooked. If you eat one cup cooked, then you're having 1.3 servings. As for pasta, get a scale. Learn what 2 oz of spaghetti versus 2 oz of rotini looks like. I try to avoid pasta because one serving is never satisfying to me. But that's just me. Good luck!
