watched the documentary " eating you alive " yesterday. Gave me a new perspective on dairy for sure . I was quite sick with a virus last week with no appetite for two days . I went to the store and got a big bag of fresh fruit and vegetables. Found when I was up to eating last week that soup was just the ticket. Have made a couple of veggie heavy healthier ramen with shrimp. Not sure if I can chased my thinking to go whole food vegan. I think it would be an interesting experiment for a month. the testimonials about overcoming chronic illness lije cancer diabetes and heart disease by making the switch were mind blowing. the aspect of the volumetrics eating all the veggies you can handle makes sense from a stay full to loose weight aspect , Can I get my head around not eating animal protien? that's a bit tougher. I can see myself going to the meditation way of eating , but no meat is tough for me to believe. I believe protien in the main component that keep me stick together and important to stay strong.

I find it’s easier for me to carefully watch my feelings and body while gradually reducing animal products in my diet and eliminating when I’m ready. So it took me 2 year to feel ok not eating any mammals (beef and veal, pork, rabbit etc.), then last summer I finally eliminated diary (for ethical reasons but yes, I feel great physically). I still eat chicken and turkey, while significantly reduced amount eggs. My goal is not to go vegan by certain date. But to mindfully consume animal products, not just because I’m hungry and have no choice. And to make a step towards plant based eating every day. Just sharing my thoughts with you, as it is a delicate topic and very personal.

Oh, and I know that I can always have a steak or an ice cream f I feel like I really want to. Only happened a couple of times with the meat during the years. Still happens with ice cream or say baked goods in a cafe with friend, but more and more rare. That gives a feeling of freedom and prevents cravings.
