Walking is easy, cheap, anyone can do it, no equipment needed except a good pair of shoes and you can use it as a social activity and include friends, family and kids. I walk all the time at varying different paces— I walk at the pace of the slowest person I am with. It supports their better health and mine. I have a million places that I take people to walk or hike, some more challenging than others— like hiking into the hills on a full moon night to drink hot cocoa or hiking down into a ravine in Los Angeles— there is a 1000 step staircase to execute— where there is an old abandoned villa that was a Nazi headquarters during WWII . Adventure awaits. Movement keeps the calorie burning engine working. Just make it fun.

I love walking 🙂 I think I've never walked under the moonlight, well I probably have but the artificial lights were always more powerful than the moonlight to be able to appreciate it. Now I'll look for opportunities to walk under the full moon without any other source of light

Lau— it is a challenge but we all wear headlamps or carry flashlights. The trails are steep and uneven but it is worth the climb. I started doing this hike with the Sierra Club years ago and still do it. Great in the springtime. May and June are rattlesnake season so we have to be particularly careful. We usually sit on the hilltop for 2 hours and chitchat, drink cocoa and snacks and just enjoy the incredible lights and watch the full moon.
