A good workout can result in water retention and a temporary scale jump! If you’re staying within your macros I’m sure you’ll see a drop soon

almost anybody can be up or down 5lbs a day due to many different factors. Water retention due to lack of water consumed or high water consumption-which is not a bad thing, menstrual cycles, inflammation from a workout, the types of food that may draw more water in...I say don't focus on the scale daily as it could drive you mad! Just choose once a week weigh in, naked first thing in the AM.

Don't let that discourage you...keep going!

Inflammation of the muscular structure after a hard work out is very common.... what you are essentially doing when you exercise is causing micro tears in the muscle fiber resulting in a need for the body to repair/rebuild itself. Your body will temporarily retain water and small traces of glycogen (sugar) around the muscle to insulate/protect it during rebuild.
