Went to see my pcp yesterday due to extreme fluid retention. Feel and look like a water balloon 😹 She tells me that I eat too much salt, I tell her that I rarely add salt, don't eat fast food or use processed foods when I cook. She tells me I need to change what I eat, I tell her my breakfast was 287 calories ( whole wheat tortilla with 1/2 slice gouda cheese, 1 scrambled egg red yellow and orange bell peppers, green onions and salsa...she says eggs are fattening and I should eat cereal instead. I think I need a new doctor.
Anyway, taking something to help get rid of the fluid. 🤞 30 days till surgery!

Listen to your doctor and dont get advice from fat people

Honestly?? As a dialysis patient that sees a dietitian, nurses, and a doctor regularly...with lots of people that carry around water weight with issues like yours....NOT ONE TIME HAS ANYONE SAID NOT TO EAT EGGS and we are discouraged from cereal. and this is with 3 different dietitians. Now, I'm not suggesting you follow their advice. Ask your doctor (or insurance) if it is possible that you see a dietitian about this. I'm sorry, but I agree that a second opinion may be a sound idea. One thing...the cheese? There can be added sodium there. Good luck! :0)

Thank you for the support. I am looking for a new pcp but most importantly taking the meds to shed the fluid and continuing to log and track everything I eat. I am very aware of the sodium intake, sugar intake and all of the nutritional aspects of my meals. The nature of my work is that I sit for long periods of time. I am taking frequent breaks to walk and trying to get back to my regular water intake to get my body back to what is my normal. Hope everyone has the best day.

To "Slimsensual" how sad that you spend your time trolling others. You are a coward hiding behind a private access.
