JC, I've been battling this cold for 3 days and four nights. I am feeling better today after sleeping all that time. Just want you to know that I reduce my prednisone 10mg today. I'm only taking three now. That's a miracle for me. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I started on a biologic 3 months ago and I think that's holding the inflammation down so I can get off this drug. I have been on it for 20 years. The biologic that I'm taking is Arava. I am praying for you my dear. God be with you.

velvetee, just watch. You'll see a picture of my husband and me with the kids on either side. I look like a pumpkin or a Snowman. I was always so teeny tiny and when I got on this medicine I blew up. I'm not proud of that I don't like it. I don't take pictures of myself so this is as good as it gets. You'll probably get a good laugh out of it. 

I'm not here to laugh at people. What kind of medecine do you take? 

Velvetie, I take steroids to keep the inflammation down in my body. I've had rheumatoid arthritis for 38 years and been on heavy heavy medicine all this time. It is really difficult. They just keep loading me up with more medicine. I keep trying to find the root of the problem. What is my trigger. Steroids are cortisol. Anything you eat turns to fat and lands in your face and your belly and then around your body. I've got a lot of fat around all my organs. Makes it very hard to breathe and walk. I had some other issues with my legs so they made me stay on this medication and added to it. For the last three years I've had to stay in a chair and keep my legs up. 

Your cortisol level is very high that's why you gained. I am sorry. There are ways to get it down a little bit, have you tried? (food, supplements, meditation/exercise)

velvetee, I am now finally reducing on my own. Doc put me on a biologic. Problem with those drugs (enbril, humara, arava, methotrexate, etc) I react to all.
