Today I got this report from my watch that I had never seen, I don't really know what it means but it says its excellent so I'm happy 😂

Is your watch a Huawei? Other brands are available.

I wonder why a watch can do that, how is the wrist related to the measurement of something related to the oxigen? IDK, it may be just an inaccurate measurement of something I don't understand but it says excellent, so it's excellent 😂

Chestnut63 yes, it's a Huawei. I didn't even know this watch could do that

Vehicle nr 1 goes from point A to point B and burns 20lts of gas. Vehicle nr 2 weighs the same weight and goes also from point A to point B at the same time but it burns 5lts of gas. You are nr 2. My polar has the same test. I have done it quite frequently for the past year. I concluded it is inaccurate. Finally i am supposed to be elite even among 30 yo males. Nonsense. My main advantage is that i have very low hr at rest, only 45bpm. And this is the main reason i am supposed to be elite.

Tassos67 yes I guessed it should be inaccurate because as I read these watches use GPS to measure that, but on the other hand I could have also gotten "average" or "poor", something good must be there 😂. Of course I wouldn't believe that I'm excellent among athletes, I am probably good among regular people. I'll have to try to run 5 km in 24 min to see if the prediction is accurate, that is what the "performance prediction" means, right? do you have that in your watch? Does it works in your case?

All these watches use mostly algorithms. They are not based on multiple indexes because of the lack of various sensors that can only exist on larger machines. But they do have a point. When reporting that someone is well trained that is for sure. But how much ?

I do not know if my polar has this prediction because i do not run. I only lift weights or walk. When lifting weights the summaries are always that i had a basic or recovery training. A bit above nothing. But my sense after those workouts is that i am totally exhausted, torn into pieces. Obviously it is unable to "feel" me. It is too much hr depended.

Whenever i do the VO2max test, i do it at morning and at evening. The most controversial measurements were morning 58 and evening 52. Obviously impossible. At morning i was calm and my hr was critical low. At evening i was angry and i had elevated hr.

Tassos67 yeah I should have said "estimate" instead of "measure". It's like how they calculate the calories burned, I read it's intended for aerobic exercise so when it's used while someone is lifting the most likely is that the calories are way overestimated. I have also noticed that the recovery time is a bit odd and I suppose it's for the same reason, it works best for aerobic exercise.
