My coworker said she was sad because she left her avocado home. I considered sharing my other half w/her, but it’s my safety net for later. If I gave it away and got the munchies, all I’d have to eat is junk food 😓 Do you keep safety nets at work?

I do not snack between meals. Just saying.

I think that is a personal thing. Some people are great with IF and eat once a day... some women aren't and start to be busy and bitchy. I find I will eat all my snacks without thinking if I have them. But I would think like a half an avocado enough. That is like about 10 percent of your average fat intake if you are on a high fat diet. You'd be hitting all your sautrated fat in one snack. (And this is on a high fat diet, where you might eat meat, let alone a vegan diet that is lower in fat) Unless you are built like Hulk Hogan. If you are low on fat and you don't have HBP maybe you can buy some peanuts or have a peach with lunch. Or something with cancer fighting vitamins.

I bring enough shelf stable healthy snacks to share or fridge snacks like cheeses 😊 avocados are a delicious perfect fat snack or meal and can be filling. Choice is alway yours😊

When I get the munchies at work, I'll have either hot broth or creamy coffee. I keep bouillon powder and dried cream powder at work; both keep well.

I have enough to share if I’m trying something new or my friends are hungry, but it’s my stash.avocados are expensive. Do you, it’s your journey to get to and maintain 🙌😊 snacks are a little different, expensive, but more in a bag or box. Be excited in sharing recipes and maybe they will shop the way you do😊😊

Great post. Just started being more concious about afternoon snack choices. Thanks to a preplanned snacks I avoided office cupcakes and candy corn, one of my seasonal favorites. I also know that one leads to way tooo many.....

So What did you finally do? Share or safety net? My SN is Paleo Valley Beef Sticks. I keep two in my purse for that same reason - if someone is with me & I have to be nice & share.

I might share once, but not without reciprocation in a timely manner.

FullaBella, I kept it for my safety net, which I ate later and was glad I kept it!! These are some good suggestions. I did bring a bag of nuts today and have 2 cans of tuna in water in case of emergency. Starting next week, my office will have 6 weeks of Christmas fudge, caramels, chocolate pretzels, etc in the break room, so now is the time to plan ahead! I’m not going to keep doing reduced calories when the going gets tough, but I will choose salads and protein over candy.

Good plan. The one I have to remind myself of constantly is 'it only takes a couple of tastes... I don't have to eat the whole (brownie, cake, pie, fudge) thing to enjoy it. I have began chanting one from Moopie but I think she got it from Rosio "My body is not a trashcan". So you don't have to 'clean your plate' anymore.

I like that body is not a trash can line. I will remember that.

I always have a "just in case" stash. Since I meal plan, I've also, on occasion forgot an entire meal. In my stash I have a couple of each: protein bar, raw almonds, beef jerky. In the fridge, I keep a few cheese sticks.

I'm with Bella, if I really want it, I limit myself to three bites, and I slowly savor each bite. Just knowing I can have that seems to satisfy my craving.
