I know you don't want to eat sugar or "fake sugar" but there is a natural sweetener that has not calories and helps stabilize your blood sugar so you don't crave it so much. It is called Stevia and it comes from an herb. It has been used for centuries in Asia, but the fake-sugar companies in the US have lobbied it out as being approved as a sweetener in the US, but things are changing. You can find it in the health-food section because it is sold as a "supplement". You can read more about it if you Google it. I drink it in my lemon water and it helps curb my cravings for sweets. Good luck!

I did sugar busters for a year and did very well on it. However then I slowly slipped back into my old habits and regained all my weight back plus some. I think it is a good program but really its not good for me to limit any one food group too much and the key is, can you do it for life? Most of us with weight problems will need to find an eating plan that we can stick with for life. I still try to have as little sugar in my diet as possible. I have a candy jar sitting right beside my cubicle (not mine) and somehow the Lord has given me the grace to stay away from it. After you get away from sugar for a while the processed foods with sugar will be way too sweet. Now I just love the taste of fruit and if I need a sweetener once in a while I will use some splenda or have a diet soda. Today at the store I treated myself to one dark Lindt truffle and that was just enough. I substituted it for one of my other food servings. I learned from someone that if you buy just one piece at a time then you cannot go overboard. I wish you well.
