Here's another sign I'm in better shape. I have a wii fit and when I got it I was barely able to get through the 30 minutes and had to fill it with a lot of the easier yoga poses. I did 30 of the hardest cardio there is on it (super hula hoop, running, advanced step, advanced rhythm boxing, etc) and broke a sweat, sure but was fine. So fine I did another 15 minutes of yoga/strength training.
I broke my record in almost everything. I can see how people move onto EA Sports Active after a while because Wii Fit isn't intense enough. I can still get a good workout on it sure, but it's hard to get to that really hard "I'm sweating buckets" intensity. I might have to cave and get the step and dumbbells because I'm going to be beyond this pretty soon otherwise.
Actually, I probably am in shape enough to just buck up and get EA Sports Active. I like the convenience of Wii related exercise - on the day it's hot or I just don't feel like being in a jammed smelly room (the gym in my complex can get pretty rank at peak times) it's a great thing to have. I still do have DDR which still can kick my butt (although I'm getting much better at that too) but yeah, time to ramp things up on the wii front.
