Was very tired after a tough 8-hour day of guarding, but wanted to get a run in anyway. Felt like crap (dehydrated and really out of breath), and my 4.4-mile planned run became a 3.6-miler :( But it's not all bad news, because my pace was much faster than it felt, haha. The first 2 miles were at a 7:25 pace, which I was VERY happy with. Like I said, I felt like crap, and my last 1.6 miles were much slower, so my overall pace was 7:37, which is still my fastest pace for a run, ever. (I don't think I ever completed a 1-miler that fast in school!) So, not all bad.
I got home and grilled hamburgers for the family. It was nice, because my mom portion-controlled for me, so I was limited to only 1 helping of burger (so I didn't COMPLETELY undo my whole workout!). Plus the salad, I finished dinner feeling very satisfied.
Hoping to get a swim in tomorrow, since I'm not working past noon! I want to try to fix my horrendous 1-piece tan lines a bit before I head to Cape Cod for the 4th of July weekend with my friends! The only problem is I get SO bored swimming... so we'll see how that goes.
Now my goal for the rest of the evening is to not snack on junk! I may have some iced decaf coffee, but I am trying to avoid the vast quantities of chocolate in the house!
