Yesterday was interesting. Was planning on going for my 6-mile run after dinner, but I had a headache. I decided to go for it anyway, but when my dad said he wanted to come with, we thought it would be a better idea to go 4.5-ish miles instead (it was threatening to rain). So we started off, but he couldn't get into it, so I ended up running ahead on my own. At first I felt really good, and I thought I could have gone 6 or more miles easily. Around the 4-mile mark, however, I almost had to stop. I ended up going 5.6 miles, but at my fastest pace yet: 7:49 min/mile! I was so happy about this, especially since I'd considered stopping and I didn't feel that great. So, even though I won't get my 6-mile run in this week (I took a break and just did elliptical and weights today), I am not beating myself up over it. And hey, maybe if I feel up to it I can give it a shot tomorrow!
On the downside, though, my weight has jumped up. I think it has something to do with my binge the day before yesterday, so I'm expecting it to come off today/tomorrow. However, my family is taking my cousin and her new fiancé out to dinner tonight, so I will not be able to cut down on calories, or stop eating before 8 PM like I want to. On that note, does anyone have suggestions about relatively low-cal options at a French bistro-type place?
