Well, I was off to a bang on my challenge with MBHPRO! we're having a competition to see who can have the most low-carb days during the week. SO far, she's kicking my A$$! I ate a brownie yesterday...all the while thinking about how I was sacrificing the win! Well, she said I had to give her "handicap", so maybe this is it!
I got to keep my little baby overnight while his parents had their romantic wedding dinner at some fancy restaurant, and a little 'alone' time. I'm willing to bet they fell fast asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow, though! LOL Jake is a blast. He's such a mellow little baby. He is constantly on an adventure, getting into cupboards and drawers and such, but unless he's trying to make baby chatter, he's mostly silently plodding along. Many times he wrestled on the floor with my teenage son and when he finally got tired, he grabbed his bottle and curled up in my arms on our makeshift bed in the living room and we watched Batman together til he drifted off to baby la-la land. I just love him!!
DId you guys catch the baseball game last night?!!!! I ran in during the 3rd inning to see that we were getting our butts kicked! the announcers made me mad because they were sealing our fate and calling the game on Georgia's behalf! Well, soon we warmed up and started making some plays! We won by a landslide!!! Today is the final showdown and if we win...we win the world series! Imagine that! A little town like Fresno California!! So, ya'll cross your fingers for my team today please! Go BULLDOGS!!!
On the diet front, I'm going to start up running a few miles a day, again. I still have to work out the contractural details (if I don't make a contract, I won't do it!) I'm usually pretty wiped out when I get home from work, but balancing the two will be my new challenge...it shouldn't be all about work all the time anyway. Like MBHPRO, I need a break from my job! You know, if you think positively, working out can be very enjoyable, especially if you tell yourself that you're doing it for YOU! (That's alot of YOU'S in that last sentence!) LOL
