UPDATED!!!!!


Good Morning!!! Hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. We ended up not getting the brakes done on the van and went to a barbeque at my sister's house instead. That was a nice way to spend Mother's Day-- by the way, does chasing a couple of 4 year olds around the house, rolling on the floor tickling and playing consitute activity time? LOL

Although my oldest daughter did not spend the day with me, I did get to see her and she gave me a sweet card. My youngest daughter was out of town with a friend until about 7 last night, so my family had waited to give me my cards and gift-- made me think I wasn't getting anything ;( In actuality, while I was finishing watching Extreme Makeover, they brought it to me-- a cute card from the kids, a very nice one from my hubby, and a pair of diamond earrings! I was surprised for sure!

We also actually made a trip to the gym as a family-- I think they are always surprised to see the 5 of us walk in together and head for the cardio equipment :) My 15 year old had me up at 4 am to go again with her this morning, so I've already done 20 minutes on the treadmill and 6 on the stair stepper-- planning to go this afternoon to do some weights when hubby goes.

My travel plans have changed-- not going to Sacramento tomorrow-- instead, it's back to the Bay to do more store evaluations Wednesday through Friday, then I get to come back and work at my old store on Saturday to help them out since half the crew will be at prom! Next Tuesday, I get to go have a root canal done, so I have the day off before I head back to the Bay for 2 days-- then finally Memorial Day weekend and a small break-- plan to go see my Mom in Tacoma.

Not looking forward to my weigh in at WW today-- my home scale says 167.6, so I'm not expecting any better at the meeting. I told my hubby last night that I was going to make a cake today cuz I'm so frustrated with all of this-- I'm eating right, really watching stuff, have exercised multiple times this week, even turned down the chocolate cake my sister offered yesterday! He kind of got mad-- told me that I'm doing a good job and that I should not give up now.. to just hang in and keep trying. He said he's not giving up and neither should I-- so I guess I'm not making a cake today. I am going to focus instead on drinking more water to see if that helps, and I'm reading my sisters Fat Smash book to see if I want to do that for awhile. I am also close to TOM visiting, so that could be some of it. We'll see how it goes.

Gotta get the kids up and off to school. Talk to you all later!

Okay, so I just got back from my weigh in, and it turns out my frustrations were without merit-- I actually lost 1.6 pounds and got below my 30 lb mark. I am down a total of 31 pounds since I started on November 29th. So, I guess I definitely DON'T need a cheat day!! YAAYYYY!!!!

Awe.. nice to get a nice gift like that!! I feel so deprived, but then I think about the car parked in the garage. lol Whatever!! I saw a great sale at Macys for diamond studs, 1/2 carat for $199... I so almost went to buy them, wrap them up, give to hubby and tell him to give to girls to give to me!! But I didn't. He's so going to "get it" when the girls get a bit older and make him get better at this stuff! lol I hear ya!! Why don't we meet in Centralia and go have a cheat lunch somewhere sometime??? I am so sick and tired of being good and not seeing anything but a gain and maybe resolve back to 204! GRrr. Glad you had a fun moms day! Keep on kickin' butt and get some good strength training in today! lylas

I had to reread the part about getting up at 4 am to go to the gym just to be sure my eyes weren't deceiving me!!! That is some dedication there! And the even crazier part is that your daughter is the one who woke you up to go! My 16 year old would not be getting up at 4 am unless it involved shopping and an unlimited debit card! So, awesome job but I just can't relate! Hang in there with stall in the scales. Only give into the temptation of a cheat day if you know for sure that you will feel better afterward. I think a successful cheat day has to be well planned and the food needs to be extremely satisfying and worth the splurge. Don't waste it on something mundane! Best of luck, either way!

Nice job Kat, Congrats on your weight loss! And nice job to your hubby for supporting you, and helping to keep you on track! 4am! Yikes! The earliest I get up to go to the gym is 4:55am….and I am sleep walking at that point! Although…if I don’t make it to the gym in the morning…than I just don't get there after work! Too many other things to do! Sounds like you had a great mothers day! I watched Extreme Home Makeover last night…I LOVE that show! Such a sad story last night with that family too! They don't live to far from me apparently!

Great job on your loss!! That will give you the motivation to keep going. Remember you may not even have a loss some weeks with working out, but your body will gain muscle and get firmer to show for it. Keep going forward and setting those ever-so-helpful goals!!
