Now, you know that things must be going very well when I'm not even thinking about what day I'm on anymore! I'm still doing induction and following the plan to a 'T'. In looking back, I've had 3 cheats...period! 1 tiny sip of alcohol, 1/2 of a small tortilla last Saturday night, and 2 mini bags of cashews and pistachios on the way home from a 7 hour drive on Sunday. That's it...and I'm really happy about that. Both the nuts and the tortilla made me sick and queasy and bloated. I don't have any inclination to cheat, because the price is too high...I hate feeling sick! I'm pretty settled into a routine these days with the carb watching. Being that we're creatures of habit, pretty much eating the same stuff for breakfast and lunch, it's gotten easier to keep track of carbs.
Lorik and I thought it would be a great idea if we all got 'together' once a week and had dinner! The way it would work is that once a week one of us would post an Atkins recipe that the others would make at home, on the same day! it would sorta be like a dinner party! Once a week, we could all say we know exactly how dinner tasted last night! LOL I was thinking that all the SB'rs (or anybody!) could play too, they'd just have to accommodate us by making a special Atkin's friendly version of their recipe.
Now, who wants to play?? :)
I need to get back into posting my food journal every day. I stopped doing it because it was so time consuming! I'd much rather spend the time visiting everyone's journals! I definitely journalize at home, before I got to bed every night, though!
Yesterday I had the urge to have something a little sweet. Since sweets are not my thing, I had to dig around the recipe files to find something I could have. I ended up making s/f jello and then for a topping I got some whipped cream cheese and added a splenda packet and a tsp of vanilla flavoring. It was OK, I guess...but not exactly my cup o' tea! They were both good as INDIVIDUAL desserts, but not combined! Yuck!
