I got checked in to my hotel this afternoon, got my stuff in my room via the elevator, then had to go back to the car, so I took the stairs-- which is what I usually do once I get my suitcase into the room. Well, when I got back into the hotel, I noticed that the door leading into the stairwell from the first floor didn't have a handle on the outside, but I was able to get it open easily, so I decided to go ahead and walk up, only to find that the door on my floor (4th) ALSO did not have a handle from the stairwell!!! I have never been in a place where once you get into the stairwell, you can't get out until the bottom floor! So, I guess for the next few days, I will NOT be using the stairs-- I'll just have to take walks around the hotel or something :)

I'm going to go explore now and see if I can find the workout room.

So, my hotel doesn't have a workout room, but I did find another set of stairs which DOES have door handles on the stairwell side! So I guess I can make that part of my daily routine for the next few..

Going up and down stairs is a great cardio and leg workout. That'll work!

Walking up and down stairs is absolutely a great workout! Why else would they have made a machine to mimic it??? Aside from the stairs, there is always walking outside as long as the neighbourhood your hotel is in is safe. Depending on the hotel, some even have priveleges at neighbouring hotels that do have exercise rooms and pools. It might be worth checking into. Keep up with the healthy endeavours!

Wow.... getting stuck IN the staircase... eww!! Makes me feel a bit claustrophobic!! The stairs will definitely work in place of a work out... just time yourself for a 20 minute work out and see how far you get going up and down! =D lol Darn... sorry not gym there! Sounds like you are doing great, though! Keep up the great work! YES... 18 married years!! Sheesh... add on the 3 dating... makes me feel old! lol I look forward to Maddi being in school, but then again... I do NOT. ;) xoxo ~bully ps.. ooo good idea from evelyn64, is there a neighboring hotel w/a gym??
