I have been there many times. I do not know what changes. I think I find something to motivate me (not related to weight and numbers) This time I realize that I want to run again and I need to be a bit smaller to manage that. Write your motivation on many paper bits and post them everywhere and have many bottles of water ready to sip for when you rather eat something not on your plan

It is so hard to keep going! I have started dieting many times over the years and given up after just a couple of weeks. I even gave in today and I am over my calorie goal...I can't help but to keep thinking "I already screwed up, so what difference does it make?" I'm trying to tell myself that it does make a difference, and not to give in! And hopefully I will do better tomorrow.

Unfortunately I know what you are talking about. Hang in there! Try fixing just one small thing and don’t worry about anything else. A simple but big thing for me was “don’t drink calories”. A second one was ‘don’t eat out of cellophane bags’. Pick something that you know will help and just do that. And log everything!

Don't worry about the big goal, just focus on the little ones. I've lost 119 lbs by only concentrating on the 5 lbs in front of me. If I'd ever set out to lose 120 I would have quit before I hit the 50 lb mark because it's just such a big number. Small goals add up.

I am having the same issue. I think being ashamed is getting me down, because I know I did not give it my best effort. Good luck!

Don’t be ashamed. It makes it worse and could cause you to give up. You’re good. You’re here for a reason. Log everything!! You will find what works for you.

Use the food log to plan your meals the day before, so that all the "right stuff" is available.

Lea, I looked at your food diary. Holy crapola! You and I have the same bad habits. I see you're eating sweets practically every day but skimping on the calories by eating very little volume. Poor nutrition DISARMS and WEAKENS us, mentally, emotionally, and physically! I can't say it enough: Plan your meals in writing a day in advance, and commit to your plan. At the end of each day, the reward is the feeling that "I DID IT TODAY. I CAN DO IT AGAIN TOMORROW!"

Hi Lea!!! I just want to say that I am a big believer in the power of our thoughts and feelings- especially the ones we have about ourselves. I recommend keeping a journal where each day you write down 5-10 things that you love about yourself! It could be anything about you- it doesn’t even have to do with diet, exercise, or your physical body- it could be that you love how you handled something at work- or that you loved the choice you made about something! You could also write down a separate collection of wins on you journey to a healthier lifestyle- only write down the wins- that way when you start to get tough on yourself- you can read your list of wins and remind yourself what you are capable of. Focus more on what you like about you- and try to acknowledge when you are being hard on yourself- and then go of it and replace with something you like about yourself. Love to you!! You got this ❤️❤️❤️
