Lavinnia's Journal, 05 Jun 10

I do not understand...not, not, not. I weighed myself this morning, a day early for my weekly weigh-in. I'm back up to 264.6. I have not cheated. I haven't exercised much, and I did forget that 2nd diuretic a couple of days, but I'm back on track now.

The only thing that has changed is that I had to adjust my insulin back up to a total of 150 units a day to keep the blood sugars under control. Could that be it? Oh, and I added almonds to my diet. But most days, I still keep right around my 20 net carbs.

I'm going to weigh tomorrow morning, hoping a lot of this is water just waiting to break. <<sigh>> I know it's a process, but darnit, when you're a good girl, you should be rewarded with a loss.

Don't get discouraged. The scale is not the "main tell all". Even when inches were melting off of me, the scale refused to acknowledge it until much later. Keep going a "good girl" you will be rewarded.

Ooooh Lavinnia!! That really sux I KNOW! I'm being really good and not losing at all. You know, I'm convinced the scale can be our worst enemy. I remember the last time I lost weight (over 40 lbs in about 2 1/2 months) and I didn't even OWN a scale. I think I did much better because there wasn't this horrible headgame with the weight going up or stopping alltogether. I really feel for you but I'm sure like mine, your weight will start moving in the OTHER direstion again soon! {{hugs}}

Make sure to look at how your clothes are fitting or better yet do measurements. I did not do measurements in the beginning but my clothes just kept getting looser and I had many weeks that there was no weight loss. It is frustrating. I keep telling myself I am going to stop weighing so much because it does get aggravating when you know how hard you have worked and you don't see the numbers you want. But just remember, they are just numbers. Pay attention to how you feel and the inches you lose. Keep being a good girl and you'll see some changes.

I soooo understand how you feel! I'm stuck,not losing at all. We just have to keep on doing what's right and it will work. I agree with all of the above! Measure...I just started today, so, I have no history to compare,but, I can tell that my clothes fit better. We will be victorious!!!

Oh my goodness that dreaded scale. Same as most of ya'll here. Darn scale isn't moving.. Well can't say that .. it is moving. a little up. and it makes me just want to quit. But like i keep telling myself it will move the way we want. Might not be right when we want it but it will move with all the hard work we are doing. Just keep your spirits up and see how we feel and how we feel in our clothes and be patient. We will be rewarded! :) BTW.. keep up the great work you are doing!

Thanks, ladies. You're all right, and sooo encouraging. I appreciate it. I have seen changes. My clothes fit much better. I've even braved some of the tops I haven't worn in over a year because they were too snug across my tummy. They fit pretty good now. So, I'll measure tomorrow morning. I'll get on that scale one more time because I have to do weigh in for challenges. But then, I'm going to put it one of my son's closets with instructions that I am not to be given that scale again until the following Sunday, no matter how much I beg. lol

I have stopped weighing between my weekly weigh ins because it was driving me crazy if I went up. Just keep being a good girl. It will show up in lost inches and eventually on the scale.

I totally agree. Great job Lavinnia. Keep on being a "good girl" and you will eventually see results. I am heeding the advice of others and am keeping focused. It's really hard to not step on the scale between weigh-ins, but it was driving me nuts too!
