HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY EVERYONE!!

I wasn't going to write a journal today...don't want to sound like a broken record or anything!

The bad news is that the scale was up 2 pounds on Sunday. I was literally shocked by the numbers, considering that I have worked out faithfully every single day last week, and watched what I ate! I increased my caloric intake to accommodate the extra time in the gym, but the result was disastrous! Thankfully, by yesterday the scale was back down 2 pounds. Other than that, I still haven't been able to lose the last of the weight (2 pounds) I gained last month on my vacation.
I'm really working hard to get back to 112, and I'm hoping I reach it by the end of this week. Once I get there, i'm thinking I might call that my goal weight, since my body has not wanted to go any lower, regardless of what I'm doing. I just figured getting to 110 was a nice rounded-off number, but I'm beginning to realize that those last 2 pounds might just be vanity.
All this frustrates me when I think back at the conversation I had with my doctor several months ago. He told me that my ideal weight was 105-108 pounds. I don't think that's right for me. I have more muscle mass than most women my age, and I'm more physically active than most 20 year old's these days.

Anyway, just venting my frustrations!

I'm putting my calories back to 1100 instead of 1400 and I set a personal challenge this week of running 6 miles a day in the gym. It's less than last week, but it should be easier to maintain and less stressful for me.

I sure hope you all are having a wonderful day!

doctors don't always know everything, but there are a few that think they do! good luck with your new plan and have a great day!

Aw, glad you managed to lose that little gain again by today, but by the sounds of things didn't deserve to gain at all with all the effort that you're putting on. The science of losses, such a difficult one isn't it! I think that sometimes our bodies are just quite happy at a certain weight and 2lbs over what you've intended is nothing really is it and still a major achievement. Who know's that 110 might come and surprise you when you're not looking for it! Thank you for your birthday wishes by the way... lol, you made me giggle when you said that birthday cake didn't have any calories in it! Hee-hee... if only eh. You just keep up the great work there... wow, 6 miles in the gym a day! That's awesome girl. ;o)

You are a very intelligent woman! I am sure if there is weight to come off, you will find a way and if there isn't, you'll know that too! I have total faith in you and your ability to do what's best for YOU!

I agree that doctors don't always have the ability to judge weight correctly. You look great and your feeling good and certainly excercising like crazy, you have muscle, so Im glad you're happy with where you are. I don't think anyone would think 112 is overweight, even for short people! I think there was research that was in the medical Journal and there have been longevity studies that say that if you are "under" weight, or weigh less than the "normal" on the charts that you could live longer and stay healthier. I think a lot of doctors are thinking that if they drop your weight lower they will be helping you...but I don't see too many thin, or skinny doctors out there, do you?

Try not to stress over those 2 lbs. Just keep doing what you're doing and if those 2 lbs. don't come off, then I think your body is trying to tell you that it needs those 2 lbs.!! Plus muscle weighs more than fat, and girl with all that exercise you do, you got muscles!!

I'd take muscle any day & you work SO hard and work out SO hard that I'm guessing that those last few lbs are needed by your body...what do you think? You look GREAT in your Easter picture and if you're feeling well, well I'd say just keep doing what you're doing and your body might just drop a bit without too much more. Maybe this week, with you going back to what you were doing before, it might have been just enough to 'change it up' a bit with what you were doing last week and your body might respond the way you like it by the end of this week...(am I rambling or what??? :o)!) I want you to feel good about yourself as you are SO dedicated and work at it SO hard! Hugs to ya buddy and squeeze that little ball of sun-shine of a grandbabe you got there!!

Muscle weighs more than fat and you have the muscle. Maybe your body is trying to tell you that this is where it wants to be. You certainly are not over weight. I know it is frustrating to you, but the only one who notices a 2 pound gain or loss is you. You're doing great! That's a great Easter picture, you look great. Don't worry, be happy.
