Today is the second time in less than a week someone has called me "pleasantly plump". The comments were made in good nature, it just so happens that yes I am pretty plump... but it's not so pleasant if you are the plump person. The people who made the comments are sweet little old folks, it wasn't meant in a bad way but that doesn't change the way I feel. This may be the comment that pushes me over to get my ass in gear.
A few years back I was getting in my car when a young man approached me to buy magazines. I didn't need any magazines so I politely said no thank you, his response: "Yeah but if I were selling twinkies you'd buy them by the crate". I joined a gym later that week and lost that extra weight over the following months. Sadly that weight plus some has creeped up on me again.
