I had the happiest weekend ever!!! I was getting dressed Saturday morning and I put my jeans on and they were just too big and sloppy looking. I cleaned out all my size 14's and replaced them with the size 10's. They fit perfectly. Now, it is a little strange that I have all these sizes just laying about. I actually have from size 4 to size 14. I do believe that says something about me lol. I then went through the dresses and tops and did the same thing. Oh happy day.
Later that day, I was grocery shopping with my son, he's 16, and I was looking for this 90% cocao chocolate bar that I love because it is so low carb and three stores did not carry it. I opted for the 85% one, and laughingly said " Oh well, I guess I will just eat this one this week and be fat" My son, so funny, says " well if that's your attitude I suggest you hold on to those clothes you just cleaned out, you're gonna be needing them." We laughed like a couple of kids at that. Kids are the greatest gift on earth. I am so blessed.
Sunday we had a family gathering for some Birthdays. I made a meal that I could eat for myself, and just skipped the cake. Now everyone finds this strange, but I think its smart. Next week is my birthday and they all want to know what to do about the cake. Don't have cake!!!! Why do we think just because its a birthday we have to eat cake???
It bothered everyone else more than me about the cake. I was happy eating the clusters that I prepared with my unsweetened chocolate, peacans and almonds. We really need to re-think our connection with food folks.
