Last night was terrifying. I had taken my calcium magnesium and vitamin D that I always would take while on a diet..as soon as I laid down, I started feeling my heart jumping in my chest..it felt fast..but I check & heart rate was 55. Too low.

Something that you should definitely get looked at. I feel that way whenever I have a panic attack.

This can also be a sign of hyperthyroidism. When was the last time you had your thyroid checked?

Additionally, calcium should be taken separately from magnesium. Try natural sources of calcium. I take magnesium at night not in combination with calcium.

Did you have an empty stomach? Sometimes those supplements need to digest easily.

When I went to ER in Aug they checked my thyroid levels and b4 that I saw my reg doc they chked too..and had thyroid sono. I do have nodules, but they said its benign

I took the calcium and mag n D together at night. Definitely not doing that again..not until I figure this out with docs. I am waiting to see Cardiologist on Friday for 1st time since I went to ER for palpitations in Aug this yr. then going back to Endocrinologist ..hoping she can tell me more about my thyroid.

You may want to stay away from the supplements altogether until seeing your doctor. I have thyroid nodules as well and take Levothyroxine. Are you on meds or had your T4 and THS levels checked? Remember, I am not a doctor, so these are just suggestions.

Erquiaga, I've had several tests done but not sure where I'm at as far as T4 ..I am not on any thyroid meds but I have always suspected that's the problem bc I also have all these other symptoms that point to that...including hair loss, (I have to wear wigs bc its so bad!) Faitigue mental fogginess forgetfulness..Stubborn weight gain. Last year I got down to 143 but somehow I gained it back and I havent been that bad. I am extra sensitive to carbs. I will see the specialist in about 2 weeks and find out specifics.

Good, glad you're getting tests completed. It really sounds like a significant thyroid problem.

Thank you Erquiaga! I have even thought maybe it's due to early menopause bc I recently got ablation and cut tubes for women issues (dont wanna gross the men out) I am 42 yrs old..but they say perimenopause can cause palpitations too

Yes, it can.
