We went to the State Fair yesterday and the kids had a blast, except for lunch time, that was a fiasco. They rode a ton of rides and I got really burned on my face, chest, neck, and arms; I'm the mom you'd think I'd remember sunscreen. Luckily, the kids didn't burn, we kept them out of the sun and on the rides so they were okay. For lunch we had pizza because that's what the kids wanted. Well, my son takes about a bite and then drops his on the ground. It went crust first and my hubby picked it up really quick and looked at it and said it was clean, so my son ate it. I was disgusted, but didn't know what to do, I would have bought him a new piece, but my hubby was so insistent that it was okay and he even ate some of it himself, so I just went with it. Anyway, there had been some tears and my son was upset, then we took him back for more rides and he was okay again. We went home hot and exhausted, but the kids had fun and that's all that matters. So, my eating was not the best yesterday, but we got a lot of walking in and I did my yoga in the morning, so I don't feel too bad about that pizza and a small DQ ice cream cone. My victory for today is that I am wearing a pair of capris today that I haven't been able to wear for a few years, so I'm pretty happy with that. Even if I look like a lobster today at least I fit into my smaller pants! Woo hoo!!
