I went to the gym Yesterday and did the treadmill for 30 minutes, the dreaded stairmaster for 15, and then strength training for 45 minutes. Then my husband called and said he invited people over for dinner! I had no idea what to make, but when I got home, he had dinner all ready! He did such a good job! He made tri-tip, green salad, collard greens, roasted potatoes, and got some whole wheat french bread from the store. I was so proud of him!

We had a couple of friends over, and they brought a cake, some sodas, and two very, very hyper kids! They gave the kids candy, cake and soda while they were there, and the kids were running around like maniacs! I wanted to say something, but I didn't want to be rude. I think the kids would do so much better if the parents weren't giving them refined sugars and caffiene all the time.

We tried playing scrabble, and the youngest girl kept flipping the board over, tiles were going everywhere, and her mom thought it was cute! And her older sister kept throwing things all over the house. She acted like she wanted to break a window or something! When we decide to have children, I want my kids to express themselves creatively, but I am NOT going to have bad kids.

Yay for hubby making supper! Makes you remember why you married him all over again, doesn't it? As for the kids... YIKES! I hate undisciplined kids and the fact that the parents have no reservations inflicting them on other people. And then they wonder why they don't get invited out as a family very often! You showed great reserve in maintaining your cool while Godzilla and Mothra ran rampant over your house. Great going on the exercise, by the way! Have a great day!

What a nice dinner!!! Sounds delicious and not having to make it, even better!! As for the kids... personally, I blame the parents. If they act out, it's usually because they need attention or are tired. I feel bad for the children that do not have enough structure to teach them good guidelines.

Wow, that's so great that he did all that. Those kids sound awful, like brats! At least they aren't YOURS!

What a fantastic hubby for sorting out dinner for you so that you didn't have to worry and sounds like he did great! Oh dear... the kids on the otherhand... sound like the parents need some lessons in how to rule the roost, not let the kids... as if they were doing that in your house, I dread to imagine what they do at home! There's no doubt that some foods do have some very bad effects on kids behaviour... although mum thinking her daughter flipping the board over was CUTE? Hmm... I bet you were quite relieved when they went home!
