Lotus's Journal, 27 Feb 08

I think I may have broncitis, this cough isn't getting any better, it seems to actually be worse. I have been wheezing and sometimes I can't get my breath easily, mainly when exercising. I took an expectorant but I still haven't been able to get much up. This is the second week of this and I am tired off it. I can't afford to go to the doctor to get antibiotics though, at least, I don't want to waste money on it, especially when we still owe the hospital $300 for Kaelyn's trip to the emergency room.
The scale is going down pretty slowly, but I haven't been exercising much at all the last week. I was only down 0.2 today. I exercised more today, I did my advanced walking dvd for 65 minutes, plus my ab workout, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes aeorbic dancing. Maybe tommorow's reading will be better.

Does anyone know how to tell if you have broncitis? Or home cures for it? It would help a lot.

oi... prolly only a doc could tell ya. =S I'd be drinking some HOT tea with Lemon and honey, as hot as you can. When I was preggers with the first one, they wouldn't let me have much of anything in the way of meds and I had the crud something AWFUL and the tea was the best relief I found. Good luck and feel better! Don't wait until it turns into pneumonia, though.

If this goes on for another week I may have to go whether we can afford it or not..sucks. I really don't want to. We need insurance so bad.

When I had bronchitis a while back, my lungs HURT when I took a deep breath inward, but the doc told me to keep doing it to help keep the airways open. I'd try taking a very hot shower or bath to help break up that crud. Get lots of rest, too. You want to watch for a fever spiking over 100 degrees...if that happens, you'll probably need to get some antibiotics...take it easy friend.
