NSV: I slipped up today at lunch. Circumstances had me in my old stomping ground and my daughter and I went to Sushiland. My intention was to get sushimi, but this was one of those conveyor belt places and the nigiri and rice rolls were plentiful and way to tempting. Anyway, I ended up having 10ish plates which is way less than I used to have but I knew I wasn't in keto. Even had an energy crash on the way home and felt like taking a nap. So what to do. I was feeling really bad about my mistake and so I remembered from a podcast that athletes can go into post workout ketosis. I'm not athlete but I can work hard and so I decided to give that a try. I got my road bike out, suited up and took off for a 31.7 mile ride at an average speed 14.2 mph. When I got home I checked my blood and bam!

BK: 1.0 mmol/L BG: 94 mg/dL
