danzarth's Journal, 24 Jul 12

So I broke my carb-free diet this morning. My GF was making something she called "overnight oats" last night, for breakfast this morning, and I was intrigued enough to try it, even though its basically just a bowl full of starch. It came out better than I expected, and I may make it again, some time when I'm not obsessing over carbs.

I added the recipe to my cook book, in case anyone wants to try it out.

I was just thinking last night of an overnight oatmeal soaking thing I remember reading someplace. For when you're short on time in the AM or whatever. Personaly, I find breakfast to be the easiest fast meal anyway.

Oatmeal is so good for you. It helps lower cholesterol and is heart healthy. Body builders eat it all the time to help them stay full and get lean. It's worth adding back in when you start eating more carbs.

My personal opinion is some carbs are good for you such as oats, so why not eat them. Moderation is the key.
